"Therefore let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and
in the Father. And this is…eternal life."
Are you charging at the devil at every turn? Are you successfully out-smarting the adversary every time he shows up his ugly head? If you answered “Yes” to
these questions, congratulations! Your inner man is full of the life of God to overflowing, and we encourage you to stay this full, always. So how do you do this?
Paraphrased, 1 John 2:24-25 can be interpreted to state that, if the life of God is resident in full measure (abides) in us, we have what it takes to remain in the
Son and in the Father. We have what it takes to defeat the devil at every turn. We have everything it takes to maintain a clean Christian testimony. We have what it
takes to abide in Jesus, love God and hate the devil. We have what it takes to be intolerant of sin – lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and the pride of life. We
are able to maintain this disposition because of an overflowing measure of the life of God - the nature of God – from God into our spirits.
If this is so, then we can check our success at resisting the devil and everything he stands for to monitor the power level of our spirits. If our success rate is
beginning to wane, the life level of our spirits is getting low, and the joy on the inside is reducing. If we detect this condition, we can leverage the strategies
highlighted in the article titled
“Strengthen Your Core” to fill our spirits with the
life of God to overflowing. This technique, monitoring our success at resisting the devil, even at the thought level, is our Power Meter, and we can use it
to detect if the life of God in our spirits is low in quantity.
A Recreated Human Spirit that is full of the life of God, is full of God’s power (Hebrews 7:16). This power will effect a manifestation of joy on the inside, which
is strength needed to defeat the devil. God’s kind of Joy is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10). The joy is not dependent on the presence of physical or material blessings.
Rather, it is the consequence of the river of the water of life (Psalm 46:4). We want to encourage you to leverage this technique to start monitoring the power level
of your spirit today. Grow your finesse in
re-charging your spirit with the life of God, when you sense a drop and stay full of this life. You will be amazed at how you will constantly soar on wings like the eagle.
