1 Peter 2:9 (NKJV)
“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out
of darkness into His marvelous light…”
Imagine for a moment that your father owns the whole world and that he cares for and loves you! How would you walk? We can almost bet; you would walk tall.
Do you realize this is exactly the case if you have been born again? This is exactly what 1 Peter 2:9 is trying to get across. You are a chosen generation.
Your Father, God, does not just own everything in this tiny planet, but He owns everything in creation. He owns this planet, this solar system, this galaxy,
the universe and the heavens above the universe we can see and every other thing in creation which we cannot see (Genesis 1:1). We will dare say that you
need to walk tall!
While we do not advocate strutting with arrogance, we want to challenge you to elevate your mindset beyond the cowardice that trivial challenges you may be
facing at the moment may want to throw at you. Refuse to be intimidated by them. The arrogant have confidence in themselves, but we have confidence in the
God of creation who is our Father. In other words, we want your attitude and your thought processes to be like that of David, who dared Goliath for defying
the armies of God (1 Samuel 17:45-51). We want to challenge you to dare those negative circumstances that are trying to convince you that the promises of
the Word of God will not be realized in your life. You are a royal priesthood. You are a king and a priest in Christ Jesus. You belong to the most royal
family. You are in the employment of the most powerful force in creation. You have authority and power in Christ Jesus, and you can turn the tide against
the enemy.
We hope these few words have put a fight in you against the devil and his cohorts. If they have, we want to invite you to deepen your understanding of God’s
Word so that you can live out this “classy” status of royalty you have been born into. If you have not done so in the past, accept Jesus as Lord and Savior,
get filled with His power and grow your Christian faith, then join the rest of us who intend to discover from God’s Word how to live out this royal status in
Christ Jesus. If you’d like to make Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior please say this prayer with a sincere heart:
“Lord Jesus, I recognize that I have been a sinner, refusing to accept You as my Lord and Savior. I repent of this sin and confess You as my Lord, Master and Boss.
I believe that you were raised from the dead for my justification to connect me back to the Father God. I receive my forgiveness and my salvation by faith right now.
Thank You for saving me in the name of Jesus I pray. Amen”
